Since 1884, this land has been in our family. This land is a part of us—it's where we grew up, where we work, where we've raised our kids.

Our story
In 1884, William M. Reed purchased 1,300 acres of land in North Central Texas in the newly organized Wilbarger County. Two years later, his wife Molly and their four children joined him at the new family homestead, living at first in their covered wagon. Their eldest son, Nathan, grew to run the land with his father until William passed. In 1900, Nathan married Minnie of the neighboring Onstott/Wilkinson family. The pair purchased land from family members, inherited land, and made further purchases to grow their ranching operation.
The area became known as the Mack Community—Nathan and Minnie's own children went to the Mack school built on their ranch. They built a house to raise their kids in that still stands on the property today.
In 1984, our ranch was recognized by the state of Texas as a Century Ranch. Through generations, bits of land have been inherited and sold away, collected and bought back up, but the anchor land has remained in our family for over 130 years. We wear this honor humbly and hope to share our slice of history with you.
